That why, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 45 million beneficiaries were enrolled in Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) in 2019, either standalone or as part of a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C). The Kaiser Family Foundation reports 948 Prescription Drug Plans are available in 2020. This is an increase of 47 more plans compared to 2019. Low-income Subsidy (LIS) beneficiaries now have 244 Prescription Drug Plans available in 2020, 29 more than in 2019.

A Phased Approach
