Extra Benefits—All Medicare Advantage Plans cover everything that’s included in Original Medicare. Many plans go beyond that to include extra benefits that aren’t covered in Parts A and B—and the percentage of plans with these additional benefits is increasing all the time. Healthcare consulting firm Avalere Health reports the following details around Medicare Advantage Plans with extra benefits in 2020:

  • 98% include vision benefits, such as eye exams and glasses
  • 95% include fitness benefits, such as SilverSneakers®
